The Level 03 Protester Management and Safety course is an accredited professional training programme designed to equip organisations and frontline staff with the skills required to safely manage interactions with protesters and activist groups.
Delivered by Black Onyx Academy, this course supports organisations that may be subject to unwanted attention, protest activity, or direct engagement with activist groups. The training focuses on risk management, lawful response, decision making, and effective coordination to ensure the safety of staff, the public, and organisational assets.
The programme addresses both hostile and non hostile protest environments, providing practical, real world strategies for managing protest activity while remaining compliant with legislation and best practice.

All courses are delivered by former armed forces personnel with extensive experience operating in hostile and non hostile environments. Instructors hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Education and Training, ensuring professional, structured delivery.
Black Onyx Academy has worked in partnership with Highfield, a leading UK provider of regulated compliance qualifications, to develop and accredit these courses. Training and instructors are subject to rigorous internal quality assurance and external assessment by Highfield.
Highfield qualifications are regulated by Ofqual, Qualifications Wales, SQA Accreditation, CCEA, and the SIA.
Training can be delivered on site at a venue of your choice, subject to approval. This option allows organisations to minimise travel and accommodation costs while ensuring training is delivered in an environment relevant to operational needs.
On successful completion, learners receive the Level 03 Award in Protester Management and Safety, demonstrating professional competence in managing protest and activist related risk.
